Staff Profiles

Sarah Berry – Director

I have 15 years experience in the corporate sector and ran a solar-pump business with my husband. Together we have a lovely lifestyle block with a straw bale house situated out in the country. I have a lovely daughter Meg and together we love to be outdoors, whether that is tramping, camping or fishing. Being apart of the Ecokids family has brought many people together and I look forward to seeing those relationships grow and develop in the future.

 

Nadine Leckner – Head Teacher

I have a Bachelor of Education, and have been teaching for over 10 years. I have taught in private early childcare centres and in state Kindergartens. I have recently relocated to Hawke’s Bay with my husband and our beautiful daughter Mackenzie. Mackenzie attends Ecokids and she loves it. I feel very blessed to be able to bring my little girl to work with me and watch her grow.

 

Fiona Bell

I have a diploma of Teaching – ECE and have been teaching for over 15 years in various roles in early childhood centres including a stint in Australia on the beautiful Hamilton Island. I live in Napier with my husband Ian, stepdaughter Mackenzie and son Corban who loves attending Ecokids. I love the enthusiasm of the staff and children at Ecokids and feel privileged to be part of the journey.

 

Andrea Windelev

I have a Diploma in Teaching – ECE and I have been teaching since 2006 in various roles in both private and state education. I am Hastings born and raised but a while ago returned to the Bay to be closer to family. I am married with three children. Paige, Maddi and Cael. I am excited to be apart of the Ecokids team and and look forward to building long and happy relationships with the children, families and staff.

 

Nicole Bewley

Kia Ora, I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Eastern Institute of Technology in Taradale. I have been teaching in Early Childhood Education since 2011. I am very privileged to be apart of the Ecokids team and look forward to growing and developing my teaching journey here. I enjoy watching the children grow and being a part of children’s learning. I look forward to building reciprocal and respectful relationships with everyone here at Ecokids.

 

Linda Gedye

I have a Diploma in Teaching-ECE and 2/3 Bachelor of Education. I have been teaching for over 25 years. I was born in New Plymouth but have lived in the Bay since 1991. I am married and have three children, Sarah, Nathanael and Michael. We love to spend time together in the great outdoors. I am excited to be part of the Ecokids team and look forward to working in partnership with you as we support your child’s learning journey.

 

 

Janelle Quinn

Kia Ora, I have a Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood Education and have been teaching in Early Childhood since 2011. I live in Taradale with my partner Dean and pet dog Wilson. I enjoy the outdoors and am very crafty, as I love making things from scratch. I am excited to be a part of the Ecokids team and look forward to growing and developing on my teaching journey here. I look forward to working alongside the children and their families here at Ecokids.
